Kodak Photo CDs

Do you have any photos on Kodak Photo CDs? Then I recommend that you convert all of the files on them to big JPGs to your hard disk, because it's getting very hard to get hardware and software which can read those old discs. After only a decade!
(I managed to read mine with GraphicConverter on the Mac.)

This is a great example of what I was saying about storing of text/images digitally.

You are really forced to stay up with technology, as EO points out here.

I know one free software viewer that can read Photo CD and several other graphic formats: XnView (www.xnview.com) Although written primarily for Windows, there is also a Mac version available.

BTW, I use the program for viewing DOMAI pictures. (Of couse it reads JPEGs, too.)

I use a small commandline program called 'xpcd' for dealing with photocd files. It can output images to either lossless PPM and normal JPEG formats.
