New Samsung camera

It seems Samsung has listened to my cries for "cameras which look like machines", they are releasing a camera with two analogue gauges! The gauges give an approximate readout of remaining battery life and card capacity. Looking at them I'd say quite approximate, but hey, they look kool.

I like Samsung's camera designs. This one also has a rare 24mm wide angle and world's first OLED megapixel display (super-extra bright and consuming much less power than LCD). Too bad Samsung can't make nice pictures with those cameras... (yet)

¿Did I buy my digis too early?

Never buy digis before 11am.

1999 was too early. The Coolpix I bought then (700) was crap. A sub-1MP camera, even per pixel it was crap. And a dynamic range like an octogenarian on a cold morning.

Whats about a flash-back to a Full-frame-Sharp-Eyed Camera from Analogsistan-1993, the Nikon 35TI I've shown here:

It's the same nostalgic idea from 16 years ago with Captain Nemo's futuristic design :-)

Ah yes, I remember lusting for that camera so badly back then. Unemployed at the time though.

The similar Contax models were also wonderful.
