Spam is outrageous, part 13

[In my email today]
"PAVPAL"?! Way to go, guy, I fell for it right away.

But with so many people hovering on the edge of illiteracy, I'll bet most wouldn't notice the substitution of a "v" for the "y".
I get many spam emails with a subject line similar to "Waiting for your respond".
Here's a hint, spammers, learn the language of your intended victims. Or don't.

I read an article recently that theorized the these mistakes in spam are deliberate. They weed out the smart from the dumb quicker and with less effort. They then know that those who respond are really ready for anything that they will throw at them.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, but that theory sounds a little shaky to me. The smarter it's made all the way, the more they'd catch, I'd guess.

Thanks for the laugh, J. Wash BumStroker. Since I'm not trying to fool anyone I'm not bothered. And your opinion of me matters about as much as... sorry, I can't think of anything less important to me than an anonymous fanboy's vacuous opinion.
I do have to wonder, though, if you're as "brave" and rude when you're not hiding behind a keyboard.
