Dali on TV

Salvador Dali as a game show guest. Clip from the fifties. Funny and interesting.

Comment on youtube: "I am impressed at how intelligent, cultured and articulate TV game show contestants used to be."

Dali is da man!

If you ever need an example of what it means to "own" the game, look no further than this clip.

My thanks to that commentator and el Signor TTL.
In all modesty, the only difference between a madman and me, is that *I* am not mad.
Did you know they named a country after me? "Sane Salvador".

:-3)

Do you like the mustache on my emoticono? I make art all the time!

I think we need to enlighten the world right now and shed light in every dark corner, so that all mankind may find contentment and live up to their full potential.

so that all mankind may find contentment and live up to their full potential.

Through Christ it's possible.

christian believer said: "Through Christ it's possible [to live up to one's full potential]."

Are you saying that of the 200,000 year history of Homo sapiens, during the first 198,000 years no one ever lived up to their full potential?

Or, are you saying that living up to one's full potential only became a monopoly of Christ 2000 years ago, and before that you could do it without him as your coach?

Or, are you saying that while it is possible "through Christ" to live up to one's full potential, it is (and always has been) also possible without going through Christ?

Since this thread is about Salvador Dalí we should probably ask: Did he live up to his full potential? And, had he gone more/less "through Christ" how might that have affected his work?

And, perhaps also: Had Dalí gone more/less "through Christ" how might that have affected his personality? For example, during his guest appearance on the TV show (see clip above) might he have recited phrases from the bible between his answers?

Note that he did paint pictures of the Christ. He also painted his wife, Gala, as Madonna (Roman Catholic title for Mary, mother of Jesus). And he also painted his interpetation of The Last Suppper.

As far as I can tell, he hardly ever talked about Christ, though. Does this mean that he did or did not go "through Christ"?

Aah, the famous hypercube crucifix! You ARE cultivated, TTL.
Happy with what your potential has given so far? ;-)

"To pass this door, you'll have to go through me!" (Wishmaster)

A bit of friendly advice: don't, EVER, say that to a nearly-omnipotent spiteful Djinn. And whatever you do, don't ever say the words "I wish" in front of him!
