Really? I remember seeing this already in the 1980's when smileys first became popular.

For this an other less common smileys, see The Canonical Smiley List.

Well, Pascal's one is different. And he said he made it up, so I believe him. He's never lied to me, except that time he said his sister would sleep with me if I loaned him my Porche.

Thank you Terry. It's nice to be liked. :-)

Sorry, I don't have any patented applause or bowing smileys yet. Maybe some day...

Here's a nice smiley link : http://www.netnude.com/main/emoticon.html
Besides the boobies section, it taught me the cheapest way to send a rose :
@}-;-'--
But it hasn't gotten me many dates yet...

I also found once ideas for other body parts. You'll easily guess what kind of insult this is :

"Well, Pascal's one is different. And he said he made it up"
I did. Improvized on a whim. But it's not easy being creative in this artistic branch. Quite often, what you make up will have been already invented by someone. (:-(
Don't worry, this is not the way I intend to earn a living! :-)

"He's never lied to me, except that time he said his sister would sleep with me if I loaned him my Porche."
Well, do you REALLY have a Porche?
[He never mentioned that his "hot wheels" were actually made by Hot Wheels!]

( ^ That's my patented "angry grimace face drawn in perspective". All right reserved.)

Besides, Noëlle still hasn't spoken to me after that "artistic photos" session...
