Net oddity

Ahhh, the Net. Can't live with it, can't live widdaht it.

Sometimes I buy from Dominos, despite the outrageous prices they somehow have managed to get UK citizens to pay*. And I pay sometimes with Paypal. Last time they told me that the charge would only get taken once I had gotten the pizza. OK, that sounds like a good thing, if unnecessary, since there has never been a problem.

But: until now I've gotten at least four email messages, following that damn little payment as it moves along towards completion. And it smells like I haven't even seen the last of it yet.

I think beurocrazy (as it should be spelled) is based on fear and the inability to face things and take responsibility for them. And it breeds.

---
*I'm told in the US they are cheap. But in this town, a normal pizza is about 4-5 dollars more expensive than other local alternatives. (But they must have a special recipe, maybe for the bread, because sometimes you just find yourself wanting one from Dominos.)

Look at this: 16 pounds (over 20 dollars)
for a chicken/bacon large pizza! Robbery.
I've never paid over 9 pounds anywhere else.

It's chemicals added to it like all fast food and processed food. They are called excitotoxins. You really shouldn't eat that crap.

It is addictive and makes you want to eat more and more while damaging your brain.

You should support your local hand made pizza shop even if they don't deliver.

I haven't had Dominoes in at least ten years because the crust was like cardboard in those days. I've heard it's improved a lot, but I'm still wary. I avoid Pizza Hut because the cheese is like glue.

Hm...that doesn't sound quite right...

Comparing to American prices is unfair as they have totally different cost structures, like low wages for unskilled workers. Although UK prices seem higher than Australian where we also have high wage rates.

Well, originally (in another post), I was just comparing them to local other restaurants. Then somebody said that in America they were amongst the cheap ones, which surprised me.

I don't know how close this is to what you ordered but I just priced a Domino's Medium (12", 30.5cm) Handmade Pan Pizza with cheese and tomato sauce here in the US online for 11.99 USD (7.54 GBP). So, yes, quite a bit cheaper. I'd rather eat the box though ;-)

This is a load of bullshit.
