I have the Panasonic GX7 and am very pleased with it. I'm surprised they didn't mention the Panasonic FZ1000 which, with its longer lens, seems a better travel camera than the Sony RX10. Though neither of them is exactly compact!
Also have the GX7 and am very pleased with it. Small, light and can take pictures that are as good as top of the line DSLR of a few years ago. I have so far only made A4 prints but A3+ should be no problem.
No, probably even A2! I've made nice A2 prints with a camera of the same line but much older. And I hear much good about the GX7. I like the viewfinder which does not stick out, and can be tilted. I might have wanted it, except Pana does not make them with in-body-Image-stabilization.
