This is what it sounds like when you have to get your message out, fast!
I love this. I wish I'd had the chance to see Electric Deads live. (Though admittedly I am not a big rock concert goer. I like the music, but I don't like beer, pot, crowded rooms and protracted noise.
Oh, I almost forgot: the best part is the lyrics. On first listen, they may seem like just your typical "fuck the authorities" punk lyrics, but later it dawns on one they are also about totally different things (dare one say "love"? Nah), and have layers and layers, and lift this already brilliant work of art well above mere "hard rock".
[Update much later: I can't believe that nobody called me on this joke. It's impossible to make out a single word of the lyrics!)
Dang, they even had their debut concert in the street I lived in a couple years later!
For those who like this (both of you), here are more MP3s from Electric Deads. And more here, including a different version of Fish.
I heard it originally on a great Danish LP from the early eighties, Complication - A Danish Compilation. It had a good selection of underground punk and alternative of the time. (What a crazy idea to even mention it here. It was an acquired taste in a specialized time, and it's probably impossible to find now.)
By the way, I seem to have lost the ability to save youtube videos. (Mac, Snow Leopard.) keepvid or savevid don't work, and neither does trying to save the file from the Safari Activity window. Any ideas?

To get the subtitle file for a YouTube video as well I recently used the standalone app 4K Video Downloader (only from Lion upwards, I fear).
Kool, thanks.
Also VLC media player (free) plays just about, if not every, type of media file without a hiccup.
.... it's a....uh.... youthful....sound
No kidding. I wish I'd been there to thrash out. I would still do it, except I'd collapse even before this 1.5 minute song was over!
I am so glad you like it, Laurie!!
... Uh, wait, you didn't exactly say that...
