Kiki's Delivery Service on Blu-ray

Kiki's Delivery Service has finally hit the impatient palms of fans in blu-ray format.
It richly deserves it, it is so beautifully drawn, with full watercolor paintings for backgrounds, by wonderful artists. And of course the story is as funny and delightful as always.

Kiki and Totoro (and now Ponyo) are my favorite films from Studio Gibli. Funny enough they are also the ones which are made with pre-digital techniques, despite Ponyo being from 2006. These all have such wonderful joie de vivre, more than anything I can think of readily.

I photographed these for you, nice for wallpaper. All clickable.

(Gotta love HD. With Standard Definition, you just can't get screenshots looking nice enough to really enjoy.)

I don't know why there's no US (Region One) version out, I could only find the International version linked at the top. It should work in the US.
Anyway, here is the UK version I have.

Yes, normally an international version means "region-free".
I think.
Well, it should, anyway! So there.

Lovely WPs. Pinocchio also had some wonderfully artistic panoramas.

Dude, I've noticed the filenames. Tell me you didn't take more than 440 screen captures of a movie by hand, just for your readers' pleasure?

Sure I did.

Not, not really. I just let the camera's numbering be. I do the same on my girlie sites, it's easier than renumbering, and I don't see much reason for doing that.
