I think this was described in the original Snow White novel: the evil queen takes a similar apple, and dips only the red half in poison. Then, when disguised as an old woman, to apease the suspicions of Snow White, she takes a bite from the green half, and lets her victim trustingly eat from the other half...
Mind you, if it were up to me, I'd never eat from an apple tha's just been bitten by a drooling hag with rotten teeth and foul breath. Snowie's hygiene standards must've been pretty low.

For some reason, this reminds me of a mutant GMO apricot I once photographed...

If this isn't a hoax then the odds would likely be much more than a million to one. The world grows way more than 1 million apples/year and for sure if it had happened each year someone would have noticed (just like this guy).
