Smoker boobs

Young women seem to smoke a lot. I'll bet the threat of cancer does nothing to help, but I think this may:

Hate to be a "downer" but...having kids will do the same thing; and...then it's ALL, um, "downhill" from there! (heavy sigh) :-(

So...let that also be a lesson to young women, everywhere.

(Message brought to you by 'The Rubber Dudes:' "Dive Safely" ;-)

So true! I remember being caught smoking at school, and being made to watch a film about all the dangers of smoking. One bit which made an impression on us was a lady who had to have her leg amputated because of poor circulation made worse by smoking. We were talking about how awful this was, and our teacher starting banging his head on the table. He pulled out one of the confiscated packets of cigarettes which stated in large letters 'SMOKING KILLS' on the front. And asked "Are you really more concerned about losing a leg, than losing your life?"
Of course, at 16, the loss of the leg (and probably the saggy boobs) seemed so much worse!

Yeah, I never thought the "smoking kills" labels would make much difference. It's completely abstract. And of course pot is illegal, cigarettes are not.

I remember a woman smoking from her windpipe...because she had had her voice box removed due to cancer! Sadly, I STILL smoked...until I was the ripe old age of 25! Hate to tell you how old I was, when I stared!! Smoked 1 1/2 packs/day! That, however, didn't affect "the gurls" HALF as much as nursing 2 kids! :-( Just sayin'! lol!

Well...there we go: 'Alternative Methods for Quitting Smoking' HOT off the Twitter feed (my new HEALTHIER "addiction"! :-)...for those who just can't go "cold turkey"...like some of us have! (GOOD LUCK!) :-)

My thoughts: who cares if it kills me? I don't have to live with it. If I lose a leg, well, that's gonna be a problem. I'd rather die in one piece than live disabled. It's not like I'd off myself if I wound up that way but I wanna enjoy what life has to offer while I'm here and that's a hell of a lot easier when everything works.

Of course I'm unconvinced that an occasional cigarette would be an issue. Really I take exception to the whole abstinence vs. overindulgence mindset-it's not either or, it's sometimes or occasionally. Again, no reason not to enjoy life's pleasures, just don't cave to all out hedonism.

Well, TC, at least giving life is a worthy motive for the sacrifice of youthful pertness.

While I just read that, according to a recent study, smokers have lower IQs.
Whether this is an EFFECT or the CAUSE of smoking is another debate. ;-)

"Of course, at 16, the loss of the leg (and probably the saggy boobs) seemed so much worse!"
To teenage girls? That's stating the obvious! :-(

"And of course pot is illegal, cigarettes are not."
True. In all fairness, it should be. Unlike alcohol, moderation isn't enough to ensure zero health risk.

"That, however, didn't affect "the gurls" HALF as much as nursing 2 kids!"
That's because you quit rather early. And well you did!
BTW, it's not so much the nursing, but the pregnancy itself. Its hormoness make the breasts grow. In size more than in firmness, alas.
But I still much prefer a natural multi-mother to a rack of stiff unsagging silicone. At worst, TC, you bear "the scars of a beautiful thing".
And, biologically, pretty young breasts seduce us men in the goal of getting us to have kids. :-)

"who cares if it kills me? I don't have to live with it."

You know, you make a highly interesting point there. People are far more afraid of suffering or handicap than something as abstract as dying.
But "smoking causes impotence"! Fact.

"I'd rather die in one piece than live disabled."
Well, if a plane crash makes me die in smithereens, I won't be too bothered either by the number of pieces.
Unlike the poor people who will have to piece together the whole puzzle before closing the coffin!

"Of course I'm unconvinced that an occasional cigarette would be an issue."
This tobacco-hating Doctor will grant it to you. One a week will probably cause you little more health problems than ashtray breath.
But how many can stick to "occasional"? The drama is from the harmful addiction.

Perhaps more on this later, I've just had a very tiring couple of days. Wotan, I need a chocolate fix and a good night's sleep!

Why do people still think nursing a baby causes saggy boobs? It is the chemicals in pregnancy that does it not breastfeeding.

Smoking at a young age can also cause breast cancer, while the breasts are developing.

But they always think it won't be them, I had a friend develope cancer in her 30's and was given 2 month to live, leaving 4 kids behind.
