Modern Robin Hood

Apparently there's been a real Robin Hood.

I don't approve of what he does, even though he seems to be a hero to many, supposedly those who don't like rich people. Gotta love the prison escape, though.

Funny, I must say: how come when a person steals from the rich and give it to the poor, it's a crime, but people love him... but when a government steals from the rich and gives to the poor, it is legal, but nobody likes them?

The original Robin Hood "stole" from the real thieves ("tax" collectors, government thugs, and dishonest religious authorities) and gave back to the victims of their theft. Robbing the regular "rich" and giving it to people who did not own the money in the first place is just wrong.

Depends on how they got rich, doesn't it?
Current social turmoil in Reunion island is based on heavy insistence that most of their economy AND land is held by a handful of békés, rich white families directly descending from the slave traders, still pretty racist, and who've just kept the spoliated wealth when colonization ended. Currently maintaining the whole population in a system of skin color discrimination, unfair salaries and over-inflated prices for all basic goods.

And I'd hardly believe someone who'd tell me Black people being very poor in the USA has nothing to do with slavery, racial segregation and centuries of shameless spoliation.

Not to say I have any personal opinion about Vassilis Paleokostas. This is beyond one simple person. The whole world today is still vastly built on blatant crimes having become statu quo.

To be holistic and fair, it would be too easy to just blame the Whites for everything, like Kaddhafi does. I also heavily blame all those despicable and petty dictators for leaving poverty and ignorance in their countries stagnate, fester, soar since decolonization.
"They'll all be reincarnated as roaches and dung maggots for many millenia", the preacher hollered. "Many!"

Simple to say, but the emotional core of hating the rich does not differentiate. It's "he's got a thousand times what I have, and there's no fucking way that's fair, give it to me."

Yeah, stinkin' stingy Scrooge won't share the wealth.
Let's rob him tonight. Grampa has a plan...
