The contest so far
I know from experience running competitions in the past that most entries will arrive in the last couple of days before closing. Still, there have already been several entries in the BW Portrait competition, and even better, the average quality is really high, which is pleasing but won't make judging any easier. :-)

Awww ... c'mon ... you're not going to tempt / encourage us with a couple of quick previews?
It is tempting, but I think it would make it harder for me to judge by my own head.
Also, any examples might influence others to feel that "this is the one to beat", and try to make something better in the same style, rather than go their own road.
