BW thoughts

Max returns with some BW pics. Nice work. I think I have my desktop images for the next few days sorted out.

I really like the one below, it reminds me of some of André Kertész' pictures.
... Talking more about black/white digital prints, I wonder if the special dedicated black/grey inks one can get to put in color printers, make better BW prints?

Yes, absolutely, definitely YES!!! ... again, try the Lycos.com site for info / samples etc.

However, I think that we should all not lose sight of one important criteria here ... talent, or lack of it!:-)
It REALLY does make a difference, particularly with monochrome work ... see GOOD inkjet prints in black & white, and they are practically indistinguishable from a 'traditional' mono photographic print.
I've printed 'proper' B&W for maybe in excess of 20 years, on a commercial / exhibition basis, and still do, though mostly now because I enjoy the process (and people pay a premium for it as a service!) ... but love the good inkjet stuff too!

Shoot, I wish you hadn't said that.

I've looked over lyson.com, and I can't find any BW inks...
I wonder if they stopped making them?
