Gals on bikes

[Thanks to Ron.]
You can say what you will about China, but they got some MoFo acrobats!
And some well-built bikes!

Yes, the bikes don't get nearly the credit they deserve.

I should get me one of those. They look very durable. And chinese-made, so surely not the most expensive on the market.
If they can carry half a dozen slender Chinese girls, surely they'll have no problem with one single, not too obese Westerner. ;-)

Long gone are the days when "Made in China" was synonym of cheap crap. Shortly after Japanese electronics lost that same reputation, I reckon.

Well, I think it took a few decades, they did make crap much later.

Lord, the littlest of those acrobats looks like she's about eight!

It's only sad that seeing as it's China, they probably train 35 hours a day.

Nah, only 31 hours. You forgot the 14 mandatory daily hours of learning the Party's Doctrin.
(The courses have become slightly more complex lately, because they have to explain how all-out Capitalism is actually very Communist.)

True fact: I heard a Chinese acrobat trainer explain that the children are only fed to 70% of their appetite, in order to keep them "light on their feet". From China to Lebanon to Morocco, people've got this firm ancestral theory that eating makes the body lazy.
True, digestion IS a significant metabolic effort, and it's unadvised to over-eat shortly before an intense physical activity. But that's only if you keep it occasional!
Then again, outside Party big shots, all Chinese look like they've got the body frame of an early teenager. Makes you wonder why sicko tourists come to Thailand looking for ACTUAL children.

But there's some good news. With the increasing national wealth, more and more Chinese are starting to relish the joys of obesity, gout, hypertension and diabetes. More wealth = less health! :-P
So typical. My Lebanese grandmother, who lived most of her life in poverty until her educated children started earning some good money, then literally ate herself into an early grave. Suicide by fork. Oh, Buddha, the humanity!

Well, not TOO early, interestingly. Looks like I've inherited good longevity genes overall, and I do intend to give them some reasonable help.
But not TOO reasonable. A man's got to enjoy his long life, too! Otherwise, what's the point? :-)

Oh dear! :-(
