Winter dusk

(Canon S100 on auto.) (Click for bigger pics.)

All except the second one have been darkened in mid-tones to more approximate how the eye saw it rather than how the camera interprets it. Maybe I could have gotten similar results by a stop of under-exposure, but I'd have had less control and might have lost shadow details.

Another railing - blue this time! Genius!

Feeling a touch of winter blues these days, Captain?
I seem to perceive a subliminal hint of it... ;-)

Oh, and Josie's right : a blue RAILING to change us from the rehashed giant blue magical fist duel, now that IS genius!
When will you be treating us with a gorgeous artsy shot of Thomas riding that blue rail in Chuggington station? He'll be stationed on Platform 9¾ this Feb 30th. (You know, on Caturday.)

My captcha : "fistice". Definition : that's when a masked vigilante beats some justice into thugs, without using any weapons. "Casey Jones failed his fistice class."

Your style is so recognizable, truly unique ...
I always thought that you should put together your pictures in albums,
stunning work!

Eolake's blue period. ;-)

Bah, I still say his monochromes were far better. Especially his asphalt series "Rhapsody in grey".

But you hafta admit, his nihilist period was quite awesome too. Nothingness as art, he was the first to come up with the concept. But then he up and had to start liking life and looking around him. What a loss for Art, and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi.

"Blue period", hah, yeah.

"After a series of sessions of daylight therapy, he ended this period and we got the "spring flower" period."

Kind of gloomy to me...

I think I would appreciate more the art of it if it was less cold in here... :)

Yes, the beauty of winter is definitely more palatable when you have a nicely heated home!
