Noktor Unveils HyperPrime f/0.95 Lens, article.Super-fast lens for low-light. Note that it's for M4/3 cameras, so the effective angle of view is like 100mm, making it a portrait and short-tele lens. It'll be interesting to see how good it is optically. Especially, good performance at full aperture is very hard to do on a fast lens.
Although it's manual focus, I like that 3rd-party lens makers are still willing to experiment with risky lenses.

Looks like a cheap piece of equipment. If it was a great performer, then Chinaman wouldn't have found it necessary to put the name of the lens in a HUGE font right on the lens body itself.
"Especially full aperture performance is very hard to make good on a fast lens." < huh?
Yep, clumsy sentence. I've tried to improve it.
It seems that it's a remounted older lens, not a new design. Made for CCTV. Prolly not all that great.

Well...that's really funny, Robb...'cuz...if you had bothered to read the VERY BRIEF blurb, you would have read: "US-based company Noktor thinks there’s an opportunity for relatively affordable “hyperprime” lenses."
So...that must be why it's a piece 'o shit! :-/

TC[Girl] - so where's the lens actually manufactured? Made. Fabricated.
Sorry you missed my original question, but where is it made?
