Helen Skelton completes Amazon adventure, article (and video).
The BBC star, who had never been in a kayak before training, broke two world records as she became the first woman to paddle the length of the river.
You just don't expect anybody who's that beautiful to also be that incredibly tough. I'm impressed.

So no mention of her making her kayak out of a cornflakes box and a pair of Vals old knickers.
BP presenters always used to get into the action, Helen seems to have gone a bit beyond what John Noakes and Petere Purvis used to get up to.
In response to you libidinous comments "down Shep, down".
That show must be 40 years old or so by now.
I haven't seen Blue Peter, but I'm guessing they make stuff out of household materials then.
I'm guessing Helen is used to people getting libidinous around her, she is ridiculously attractive.
What makes her essentially attractive to ME, is her impressive feat. Something about the true deep worth of women I find irresistibly sexy. Balance and confidence alays have that effect on me. It's always nice to know you can rely on your life mate.
Now, shrieking for help at the sight of a mouse, that's not the best way to meet and date me. I'd rather catch the mouse, comfort it, and release it at a safe distance.
I've got a cousin who panics into a phobic fit if there's a KITTEN in the same room. ("Even a SLEEPING kitten?" Yes.) In spite of national tradition permitting it, I'm not about to marry her!
