Danish band in Apple ad

Luke predicts I'd want to blog this. Well, it has iPod and Steve Jobs, a Danish band, a cute singer, and a pretty good song, who wouldn't?
Danish music is really happening since the nineties.

As usual, English speakers misspell Danish names. It's Mette Lindberg, not Metta Lindberg. By her name she is clearly Danish, but she doesn't sound it. But then it's amazing how some people's singing voice can sound totally different from their speaking voice, have you noticed?

I'm reminded of how I was once in a cafe in Copenhagen, and while making my cappuccino, the waitress sang a single note. I swear it was only a single second, and yet from that I could hear that she was a trained singer. I asked her and it was true.

Danes sometimes don't make it easy. I know that sometimes a name with ΓΈ in it will have oe instead.

I think they do that only to make it easier for people of other languages to read and write it.

Yeah, my point is just that if you see some of their names spelled different ways, it can be confusing. Plus we can't be faulted for not be all that familiar with Danish names.

Totally.
