Image finding

Ray, who was once famous as "the world's oldest blogger", but who is now too old for such competitive nonsense, helps me out regarding my quest for a better image search. So far I've tried Google Image Ripper, which seems really helpful, instead of all the dang thumbnails and full pages etc, you get for instance instant Dakota.

She was really good in Taken. I also liked her and her sister when they did the US dub of My Neighbour Totoro.

Didn't care for the Cruise War of the Worlds though. She just seemed to be a screaming kid in an FX movie. Strange how there were three versions of that in one year, and only one had a good shower scene.

Yes, she made Taken worth watching.

I didn't know of the other WotW versions.

It's true she was wasted in that one, but then it was a Spielberg movie. Like Lucas, I think he's great for visual spectacle, but a waste of good actors.

I first saw her in a light comedy, Uptown Girls, which I enjoyed a lot because of her performance. In the film commentary, the director spoke of how eerie an experience it was to have serious discussions about character composition with a kid that age, who had a lot more insight than most other actors he had worked with...

Oh yeah, I had almost forgotten Uptown Girls. She was great as the rock-hard kid.

I love kids who are precocious and at the same time know how to have fun as kids. Seems to me that's the best of both worlds.

Talking of DK and good child actors. What about Natalie Portman? Her role Mathilda in Leon was wonderful.

Oh yes, she was amazing in that. She's never been used better since.

(Does she have anything to do with DK though?)
