It would never work...

"You cannot go out with this Brennan guy, it would never work: you're a taurus, he's a gemini. He's lutheran, you're dead."
- Dead Like Me

That show is really great. Some of the perifiral characters are more real and nuanced than the main characters of most shows.

For example Gorgia's mother, Joy Lass ("joyless"): on the surface she's a bee-ai-tee-see-eitch, but she is much more than that. She is a loving person, but she has profound anger issues, and she is written and played wonderfully well.

And then there's everybody's favorite: Dolores (Georgia's senior in the office). On the surface she seems like an awful phony, always putting a big pretty bow on everything. Again, much more complex. Sure, she pretends, but mostly to herself, and only because she wants so badly that things are nice, not because she wants to fool anybody. And her life and her past is much different than one might imagine. And she is so wonderfully played too.

Is this a program on now? Can one get DVD's of episodes at a Blockbusters? It sounds right up my alley.

I loved this show, still need to get my own copy of season 2 for the collection. Absolutely wonderful. :)

I always liked Daisy and the cop. It's been too long, I just don't remember. And her little sister, very cool.

It's a shame they stopped this.

Yes, Reggie, the little sister, is cool.

For those who liked this, try WonderFalls.

I saw all these a while ago, and thought (again) how it sucks that anything good seems like it gets canceled. Of course, Mandy Patinkin went on to other things, but now that he's left Criminal Minds, maybe they should bring this show back.

I didn't like Wonderfalls as much, it seemed like it was trying too hard.

I love this show! I get to see it on (I think the SCIFI channel) on Dish Network (my satellite service).

Maybe when I get another job I will get it on DVD.

I have all the X-Files seasons on DVD now. Another of my fav shows.
