This picture, a few months old, (and along with the rat from today, see posting below) illustrates what a boon compact, always-with-you cameras can be. Something I've not often exploited in my life, but I'm starting.
These signs by the way are not a joke or a mistake. They were what the city deemed necessary to inform the public of roadworks. Sign of the times? Like excessive labeling, over-communicating in lieu of good communication?

"over-communicating in lieu of good communication?"
Certainly.
Are you sure it wasn't an open air museum for road signs / roadworks section ?
Another anecdote which fits into this issue:
At the check-out of a supermarket I wanted to pay by direct debit.
I was asked to put my signature underneath a block of some 10 centimeters of small print with detailed information about the supermarket's business rules.
Had I read through all of it the already long queue would have extended even more, impatient customers stamping their feet.
As to an "always everywhere" camera: Minox still produce their tiny spy camera (I also have one), I wonder when they will come out with a digital version.
Have a good start into the new week.
Greetings Gen.
You can get credit card sized digicams, but they compromise on usability and quality.
But cameras like the Fuji F10 and the new Nikon P series (with image stabilization!) fit in a pocket, and they take full quality pictures. I print them up to 30x40 centimeters in perfect quality.
