I am not an ardent collector, but this is a beautiful camera, and a classic. It's one of the best presents I've gotten in years. Thank you Don! :)
Late update, March 2010!: Just looked at this post, and realize that for some reason I did not answer two questions:
1: The camera on the table is a Nikon F2 Photomic from the seventies.
2: The speakers are from a small company called Design-E. They sound good too.
[Update 2015: although their site is still running, both their phone or email are disconnected, so I guess I have speakers very few people will ever have! Sad.]

The Spotmatic sparked a collecting interest, and that table is now full of 'em, virtually.

Good photo, Eolake!
Thank you very much. I had to use the Nikon D200's Interval feature and take 20 pics to get one where I did not look either like the village idiot or Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
I wish I had fans.
Seriously though I know of one of those I really might buy, it comes with 200/4, 50/1.8, and 28/3.5 takumars, pretty nice set.
Very nice, but what are those speaker's on the desk? I've not seen those before.
What's the camera sitting next to you on the desk?
"..and take 20 pics to get one where I did not look either like the village idiot or Jack Nicholson in The Shining."
Hmm....village idiot...I don`t think so!!!
The shining?!!......were you using your axe on your door at the time.......?!!!!!
Only teasing, Eolake.....! :-)

With that 85/1.8 SMC, I'd be grinning too. Did he send you MJ's favorite lens as well?
Actually, despite the huge front lens, that is a 28mm F:3.5.
It looks really nice though.
As does the 50mm F:1.4.
Shows what I know. I think the 58mm filter size threw me. The 28/3.5 SMC has a different formula and a smaller filter size. If you give this beast some exercise, try to find the 85 either Super or SMC. They are nice though uncheap as screw mount lenses go.
Wow, even your house looks cool and awesome. Thats the difference between an European and Asian. Most Asians are too lazy to keep their houses clean with beauty. ell, this is an exception in some Indian houses.
I lost most of the surplus weight last year, I look better now. :-)
Perello and Hannah, maybe after nice years you'll finally get answers to your questions, if you subscribed to this thread:
