By the way, does anybody know if Twitter has a no-nudity policy on pictures? I've just gleefully been posting some via my Domai account without thinking about it, and so far so good, except now one of them is gone.
I'd like to know if they are likely to cancel my account if I keep doing it, because I could host the images myself, just be a little more work.

Regarding twitter and nudity, this is quite a complex question. Your images are not hosted by Twitter but by Twitpic. A whois query for twitpic.com reveals the registrant as Twitpic Inc. with an address in South Carolina while one for twitter.com reveals the registrant as Twitter Inc. with an address in San Francisco. I haven't heard anything of Twitter buying Twitpic so I think it safe to assume they are separate entities.
Twitter terms don't specifically mention nudity; not surprising as they deal only with text, but say that you are responsible for content you post and consequences thereof. Twitpic terms on the other hand mention that they reserve the right to remove offensive images (nudity is mentioned) and also to ban images. My guess is that they might initially remove images, then ban a user that persistently posts images they class as offensive. SO it seems that your use of Twitpic to host images may not be such a great idea.
I have no idea what the implications of posting links to images of nudity are on twitter accounts. Images linked from Twitpic are displayed on the Twitter web site but I don't know if other images are. If not and people must click through to see your images, I doubt twitter would have a problem with them. If they are automagically displayed on the twitter site then they may well have a problem with them.

Whether or not they actually enforce this policy is another question entirely ... there is loads of 'questionable' stuff out there on both Twitter and Twitpic!

I used twitpics simply because it's the default image upload in the tweet window, and *very* easy to use. A pity if I can't use it, also because the site allows for user comments.
But no big deal if I have to host them myself, maybe I should just do that.

Are you kidding? That image not only has nudity, it shows a woman who´s neither embarrassed about her body (that´s the humor category), nor being slutty about it (that´s the porn ones), just being comfortable with herself. That´s the most offensive possible kind!!!

Ideally, you should seek [or establish?] servers outside the nutty anglo-saxon world. Based on some videogame censorship stories I´ve read, it seems the Germans can be bizarrely uptight sometimes, like renaming the NINJA turtles cartoon series, or demanding a special edition of Soul Edge (PlayStation1) without a weapon (bladed nunchuks) that´s illegal in their country.
I recommend France. They´re very big on freedom of speech and art in France.
There´s a country where you´d never get annoyed for a Lisa Simpson racy drawing.

Try Poland! :-) Just got back from there (again) ... down to minus 30 last week, in a country of surprising beauty (including the women!), where everyone under the age of 35 seem to have a better understanding of English than many UK nationals! :-)
Really? That surprises me, because I've been in Germany a few times, and even the hotel staff barely spoke any English, often, to my astonishment.

Yes, some say that. Personally I think it sounds like a mule choking on potato soup.
Just kidding, I sorta like it. And in a spasm of expansionism, I even paid very good money a couple of years ago for a CD-ROM course in French. (Rosetta.) So it might happen, you never know.
