Wing suits

Wing suits, buzzing mountains, new extreme sport.

Pretty amazing, they seem to have a travel-to-fall ratio of at least two or three to one. And surely wing suits can be improved yet, the surface area seems very small.

What a bunch of crazies. I admire them for it. Me well I'll just stick to loving my wife. These days that's plenty enough excitement for me and I'd sooner risk my life for a different kind of pleasure. cjg of eroticalee

Looks like they are living the the dream of flying like a bird.

The greatest danger of my dreams are falling out of bed.

Think I will let my airplane do the flying and I will just go along for the ride.

I once fell out of the top bunk bed as a kid, and kept sleeping, they tell me.
Oh, to be able to keep the limberness and resilience of a kid.

So are these guys wingnuts or what!

Haha, yeah.
Just like a fan of the Grateful Dead is called a deadhead, and a fan of NIN is called a nincompoop.

Whoa! Just watching them gets the heart a-racing! YIKES and yet what freedom...after you've lost your marbles enough to tumble off the side of a cliff, like they were doing! INCREDIBLE!

And you're right, Eo; amazing how small that surface area is! It reminds me of a flying squirrel or bat...w/just a *few* extra pounds in tow! lol!

Wish I had the guts to do it. It's looks FUN! What a cool way to explore! :-)

I am more attracted to... what's the word for them, these simple big triangular wings with a harness underneath. You can glide for a long time with those.

hang gliding?

It seems like that would be a little less daring, in ways, than the other. Perhaps not as fast. But the other would be a *hoot* to freak tourists out with at, say, The Grand Canyon...as you sit on a ledge and...all of a sudden tumble off!!! (that, of course, would NOT be me!) lol! :-)

(Yes, hang gliding, thanks.)

Or jumping off the Empire State building in one of those squirrel suits. (Get arrested of course.)
