Schiff is well know in the libertarian circles. He was an advisor to Ron Paul during his presidential campaign.

I've been following Schiff's writings and videos for 1-2 years. He totally gets it. Everything he says is spot on as per my understanding of Austrian economics (a school of thought, not the country).

Schiff is now a very popular guest on news shows thanks to his excellent track record. But any Austrian economist would have said (and have) the exact same things. It's just that Schiff is more vocal.

Another guy I recommend listening to is Jim Rogers.
