I like the constallations artwork, nice and subtle and simple.
I haven't found a setting for setting the app as your desktop, but you can have it running behind the other apps, get the same effect, a starfield (and possibly constellations) slowly rotating past.

Remember when planetariums used to have the big projector. The local one still has the big projector for accurate straight up planetarium shows, but for the other films and presentations they have 6 projectors all working together to build the image. Quite impressive.
Heck, there are even portable planetarium projectors now, they brought one to school. I wonder if it's the one the Stellarium software can drive?
