New pics too

Update: Bert talked about removing the red post in this one, so I tried it just for fun. I have to admit it has merit.

I like the green fence a lot. But I probably wouldn't have resisted the urge to photoshop out the red post... ;-)

That red post is a harsh note, sure. But without it you kill the tension in the image. Methinks.

You may very well be right. Would be one more occasion where I would spend hours "fixing" a photograph, only to decide in he end that I prefer the original... been known to happen.

Still, the dang post sorta breaks the impression of flow that the gentle curve creates.

Removed the post, but left its shadow. Gives it away.
Let's just say it was purely an artistic edit, and didn't claim to try and fool anyone. :-)

I think you're being a bit harsh here. I thought Eolake did a good job at editing, and I like the result. Somehow not as spectacular as I would have anticipated, but I see this as a genuine improvement.

As for the shadow, I looked at the edited picture before I went back to look at the original, and my first impression was that it was some equipment hanging off the pole casting the shadow (I somehow remembered the post to be a little to the right in the picture, and thus unrelated).

Naah! The second half of my post (and THAT post is still visible ;-) showed I wasn't really being harsh.

My apologies, I just tend to open my eagle eye every time I even SUSPECT an edited image. This age of falsified media has me a little paranoid, and at times I get carried away analyzing.
