Google traffic stats

Is anybody familiar with Google traffic stats? If I look at the traffic for this blog, and I look at "referring URLs", then Google is well down the list, but if I look at "referring sites", then Google is the undisputed number one. Does anybody know what the difference is?

Update:
I was being unclear, it seems. I was looking at the stats which are now built into the blog (in the admin areas). I assumed they would be the same as Google Analytics, which I have used in the past, but looking now, they are different.

I don't know anything specifically about Google stats, but I think you may have a number of different "referring URLs" from Google -- a different URL for each search. The "referring sites" statistic may indicate all traffic sent your way from www.google.com , regardless of the search term.

I use google analytics but I dont see what you see. I would guess referring URLs doesnt include search engine traffic and referring sites does. Mine is divided into search, referral and direct traffic.

Thanks, Mike.

Jack, I was being unclear, it seems. I was looking at the stats which are now built into the blog (in the admin areas). I assumed they would be the same as Google Analytics, which I have used in the past, but looking now, they are different. (In fact, they don't even show the same total traffic, which is a bit weird.)
