tOP posted a link to a funny parody of fanboy tech-toy discussions.
MC: If you really were a professional, you’d be using a Graintex SH 1660 sledgehammer. It’s got a 36 inch handle and 20 lb head and can tear through walls in a heartbeat. Your Stiletto can’t touch this.
Hammeruser: I do framing work and carpentry, so tearing through walls really doesn’t apply to my work.
M.C.: That’s because you have absolutely no skills. A good hammer user can drive nails with a 20 pound sledghammer with no problem.

A real writer could have written that much funnier.
And a proper commenter could have produced a more insightful comment.
Most photography forums are full of people who never have any photos to show, and don't realise that in practice to achieve the maximum resolution of most cameras and lenses it requires a solid tripod, and attention to focus. I expect many don't own a tripod. Taking photographs in good lighting, either early morning or late afternoon, or with the right type of low cloud to give a diffuse light matters much more than any manufacturers name.

What an idiot. The comment was a reference to the style of the article Eolake linked to. How can you stand being so stupid?
We could be here a long time.
