I love how these people think that we're all like they are. Well not everyone is. The kind of people he's talking about are the types who buy a painting for the signature.
I'm not so sure. The town I live in is clearly working class, no original art being sold here. But there's still quite a market for, say, cheap figurines of puppy dogs and such.

I wonder, in the 19th century didn't people favor wardrobes over closets?
