Hardest Working Mayor in North America

[Thanks to Uncle Ron.]
Hardest Working Mayor in North America, video.
"Hazel McCallion is a wonderful example of leadership for many reasons: she has been the mayor of Mississauga, Ontario for 30+ years, re-elected 10 times, and is responsible for a debt-free district while creating a vibrant downtown. She's done all this with great energy and enthusiasm while approaching 90 years old!"

That was great Eolake, she reminds me so much of my mother , recently moved on. See something needs to be done, just do it.

And if many more had her attitude to retirement, the babyboomer issue would not be a problem. People were never meant to live thirty years in retirement.

Well, as far as retirement goes, I never thought I would, nor have I ever thought I would want to; what I do is what I would be doing if I was retired, though a little money coming in would help. Of course the latest economic travails have given me a "clearer" view on that as well.

I guess if she's still doing a good job. I'd hate to see the mayor of this backwater town in for that long.

Mississauga's a suburb of Toronto, though, so I wonder if there's really that much for the mayor to do. Except collect a cheque.

And then there's this - http://www.nakedcowboyformayor.com/ - the "Naked Cowboy" for Mayor of New York.

Hmmmm. Such an interesting political... landscape.
