Am I the only one who often has problems when upgrading an Adobe Application?
It's just never simple. Right now it's Photoshop CS4 which just won't accept the serial numbers for either Creative Suite one or two.
The installer only has options for earlier versions of Photoshop, not the full Creative Suite (which I've given up buying since I don't use the other apps anymore). But if having those don't qualify me for an upgrade, I'll go ballistic. I've used a @£!$+*&$!! fortune on Adobe software over the years.

I get annoyed when Adobe Reader can't recognize its own newer version and I recently had a hell of a time trying to upgrade their Shockwave Player. A few versions back, some genius at Adobe decided to separate that program from its package of 'Xtras' which are little plugins required to make the whole thing go. Finding those on their website is damned difficult, and they don't help by telling you that whatever you need is already built into the program.
The hell it is. You need that pack of Xtras from version 10.0 or before, without which neither the Slim nor Full versions of Shockwave will work for such things as the interactive games on the British Museum site, among others. Adobe needs to get its act together and stop giving its users such a difficult time trying to get Adobe's stuff to work. It's a pain in the butt, simply stated.
I can probably get you a keygen, if you wish... Adobe really needs to get their ass kicked, anyway.
