Batgirl Barbie?

Batgirl Barbie? This is the first time I've thought Barbie was cool.

What's uncool? Well, Mattel, Inc. believes they have ownership of the name "Barbie" (which has always been a nickname for somebody named Barbara), and they shut down an amateur web site named "Barbie Strips" and left Barbara the owner with big legal bills.

Why'd they do it? Because they can.
And because they're giving in to the generalized paranoia that says everything which might, possibly, maybe, perhaps, eventually, appear like personal attack definitely has to be.
Marvel® are batty. :-P
And they're acting like a buncha bratz.

To be honest, there is one positive thing to say about Barbies.
I've always hated how grotesquely unrealistic those dolls looked, and I LOLed when I heard a few years ago they were changing the look "to make the breasts smaller, out of concern for the possible impact on young girls" that might -naturally!- view it as an advocation of systematic silicone implants... but I've myself witnessed something, very recently: apparently, the newest Barbies have a notably more realistic face. Very clear on the profile view, and the overall impression it gives. Closer to Earthling human female somehow. A little closer.

Still looks like an anorexic freakazoid bimbo, though.
I think Malibu Stacy looks cuter and more realistic, even with her yellow skin.
