Wallpaper

... and in this case, the literal kind.
I like this picture, from Mike Johnston, quite a lot. It has an unusual composition, and it's very... peaceful.

Eolake-
This isn't a comment about this post but I couldn't find a link to just send an email.
I came across this site and thought you might like it

All that is missing is a beautiful blonde female devoid of clothing.

The subject is the wall (paper) to which the bed and pillow serve as a lopsided frame.

Interesting photo. Did he come up with the composition on the set or later while playing with the crop tool on his 'puter? We may never know.

I'm pretty sure it was made in the camera. You don't make a photo like this on the computer, it has to be Seen.

Good one! :-)
The colour of this background would go well with some blonde hair.

I can "See" her...

Well...unless you ask...(s)

That's the whole frame. I did shoot other "crops," about six or eight, but all in-camera, all just slight variations on the theme.

I almost never crop one of my own pictures except when it needs to be fitted to a layout. Editors crop all the time, but that's because the end result is not a picture, but a page, an ad, a cover, whatever. If the end result is just a print on a piece of paper, then there's no reason to crop. I mean, I would if I wanted to, but I don't see any reason for it. Either the picture works or it doesnt. You almost never can improve a badly seen picture by presenting only part of it.

Thanks, Mike, for the explanation.

I thought these photographers Eolake has been referring to in his posts were just aliases for himself, to help him gain marketshare. I didn't want to blow his cover ...

And I am not an alias for Eolake either. I am not me, I mean he's not, I mean him, I mean...

Thanks. I can "See" her too. Is she smiling?

You caught me. Every single person here is actually me.

Uhm, but of course you know that...

This Seeing business is a bit new to me. But what do I know, I'm not a photographer. I watch through my own eyes.

Sometimes I think I've Seen It All.

Yeah, we're one seriously disturbed guy, aren't we?

No, we aren't.

Aah, shaddup, who asked you?

Why? I need permission to talk to myself now?

You don't have my permission to be part of me.

Then just leave this blog! (Nyahahaha! IF YOU CAN!)

FINE! GOOD-BYE! (Stomp! Stomp. Stomp...)

He'll be back. He always says that and then comes back...

Will you all be quiet for a second? I hear the Doctor coming.

Quick! Let's all pretend I'm sleeping! (Zzzzzz)

Stop snoring, will ya?

Sound-insulating padded wallpaper? My butt! What a gyp. This place is still getting noisier every day.
