Pink Lady
The Pink Lady, a 60-foot tall drawing of a nude woman which mysteriously appeared overnight on a sheer rock cliff above a tunnel on Malibu Canyon Road. A story of human folly if I ever heard one. And sadness, such a delightful work of art it was.

An interesting choice of canvas. Even if she had painted it on the side of the mountain away from the tunnel, eventually hikers or a passing plane would notice and word would spread with the ensuing news reports and traffic. But maybe it would have had a better chance of survival. It is odd that nude art in the US draws such attention. The bird would have been just as beautiful, but would not have attracted so much interest.
I HAD THE HONOR OF SEEING THE "IMFAMOUS PINK LADY" IN PERSON. IT WAS A WORK OF ART THAT SHOULD STILL BE THERE TODAY. ONE OF MY MOST PRIZED POSESSIONS IS A 8" X 10" FRAMED PICTURE OF THE PINK LADY. IT SITS ON A TABLE NEXT TO MY EASY CHAIR. I LOOK AT IT EVERY DAY, AND THINK OF THE WAY LIFE WAS THEN. I FOR ONE WILL BE VISITING THE SITE THIS YEAR, THE 40th. AN. WOULD LIKE TO MEET LYNNE SOME DAY. I like the pink lady!
Such a shame it only lasted a short time.
Would have made a wonderful landmark!
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
