(I’m a little confused though, I’m sure this camera came out like two years ago? At least some M Leica without a screen.)
I can see the appeal of the simplicity. But then you have the downside of the rangefinder, no autofocus, no zooms or long lenses...

It's not really a seventies camera in any sense, since it has wifi. The idea is that you can see your photos on your smartphone. Having to juggle 2 devices seems like a high price to pay for that classic Leica look. And why not go for the whole film camera experience by making the "film advance lever" cock the shutter?
Yeah, it’s clearly a nostalgia trip.
Not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that, I’ve bought things out of nostalgia.
We all have, E, but when I do I usually regret it. I'm not sure I'd like having to "juggle 2 devices" like that, seems more trouble than it's worth - but then I'm not a "camera guy."
