dangerous nests

Have you heard the rumor that Stieg Larsson's estate has allowed a third-party writer to write a sequel to 'The Girl Who Played with Fire' and 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest'?
The working title is 'The Girl Who Messed With Something Dangerous Again'.

====
Talking about hornets' nests, I would say one would have to be quite desperate to have sex with one. But he probably didn't predict that the act was actually suicidal! (Durn, it's even a Swedish man, one more brick in the seque.
... If you're like me and skip the links to other stories while reading one, it takes a while to discover that this story was actually a hoax. Dishonest journalism, I'd call that. Totally different from what I'm doing, for I actually didn't know it while writing the post.     :-)
Well, good to know nobody has yet been that stupid.

"Ach nein, sagt Eva Gabrielsson zum Abschied, sie hat es sich anders überlegt. 'Stieg ist tot. Es gibt drei Bücher. Dabei sollten wir es belassen.'" -- Der Tod und das Geld, DER SPIEGEL 32/2012

Or in English "Oh no, Eva Gabrielsson says goodbye, she has changed her mind. 'Stieg is dead There are three books. We should leave it""

She was going to finish the 4the book and there are outlines for 5 and 6. Maybe the family has asserted ownership.

Yeah, I just read that today. I had not imagined more books, I was just making a joke on the titles.

I'd certainly not want more books if they were to be as bad as the newish James Bond book. I read a chapter, and it was so clicheed I couldn't take it.

I commented on that story post. Herd Thinning!

It would be like adding to Asimov's Foundation trilogy. Oh they did, first Asimov, then two trilogies by different collections of authors, and none of it worked well.

Against expectations, I actually liked the addition to the the Hitchhiker's series, though.

There are exceptions to every rule, Aliens was better than Alien, although gravity eventually triumphed and Aliens 3 was rubbish. Not many cover versions of music have been better than the originals.

I haven't read the new Hitchhiker book. I don't like the new Bourne novels by Lustbader, though, it's in my opinion a bad idea to continue a series with a new author. Attempts at writing Conan stories have always failed because no one could replicate Robert E. Howard's style. Or the Bond novels - where even Kingsley Amis couldn't get it quite right. There are exceptions. I've heard the guy writing the rest of that Robert Jordan series is better than RJ but that's not too difficult. Probably no one would care if a new writer started working under Tom Clancy's name, and other writers for several years now have been writing Clive Cussler's stuff and no one can tell the difference.
