LED backlit
Has anybody tried these newfangled LED-backlit displays (any maker)? Is there all that much difference in practice?

Yup. They look better and consume a lot less power (my new monitor, which is 4" bigger than the old one consumes 10Wh less than the old one). They also allegedly last longer, but we'll have to see about that one :)
I´m in the process of buying a new TV set, compared a few of them in various shops and found out that these LED backlit ones are good for your eyes, and low on power consumption.

Thanks. I guess this also means they are cooler, which would be a good thing in my small office in the summer.
