I finally got my Nikkor 18-200mm zoom. This is an awesome lens. It is as sharp as any reasonable priced lens, but it has an 11X reach, and image stabilization!
I was working very fast and nimble in a trip around town today, and yet almost all the images are pin sharp. This one was taken in a space of around two seconds. Very nice picture too, donchathink?

I thought you were in UK and driving on the left???
Have a good day - greetings from Gen.

That's not nice.
"I thought you were in UK and driving on the left???"
Indeed. Those other cars are parked.
I'm impressed...
It must be a very fine lens...
I like the way you framed the picture (there's a certain mistery going on between the cars and the two people even though they are probably not connected in the least) and.... I also like that you are showing it in black and white and not in color...(b/w is my favorite style of photo printing)
I would like to see more from this lens...

It is. You can get them a little sharper for really big enlargements, but those lenses are twice the weight and price, and half the range.
"I also like that you are showing it in black and white and not in color."
I do occasionally. In some subjects, the color is a distraction rather than an enhancement.

Coming up for sure.
One is the new pic on the stobblehouse.com home page.

Good shot! Very sharp, and for a Canadian it is odd to see the steering wheel on the right. I take it you are talking about a digicam?
Derek
Technically it is a "digital single-lens reflex", but yes.
I've used nothing but digital since the millennium. It rules.
