...saw the deer eating the dog food. All employees were carrying cameras in their pockets because Lynx tracks had been spotted here and there around the property. When Sandy shot the interlopers, she had the sense to put her finger over the built in automatic flash so they wouldn't freak out and hurt themselves in panic. A real farm girl for sure.
I blew the photo way up for a poster once and that's when I noticed something. If you look carefully, you can see snow flakes standing on the tips of the buck's coarse outer hairs. That's why they don't get wet and cold I'm told.

A few months ago we adopted a cat from a rescue shelter. Now she is settling down and beginning to enjoy life, she has discovered television - I kid you not, she loves watching nature shows with wild animals, insects and fish and even large scary animals like elephants (when fitted onto a TV screen) are 'attractive'. She has tried to catch the animals, and after the screen goes black, has looked for the animals behind the TV screen . . . The news and home renovation shows are 'boring'.
Fun.
We had a couple cats when I was a kid. I don't recall them ever show any interest in the TV.
But then in those days there weren't all the nature shows there are now.
