When you drink the water, remember the river.
Any laying in wait in the background, behind the "iron-work beeetle is the great Beetle number 53 (Herbie)!!
Oh ya! Never noticed. I never saw the originals. But I saw the newish one, directed by the chick who directed that hot lesbian spy flick, whazname.
That iron work car looks super gay.
So any idea where the iron Beetle was?
I understand that the turtle car has a roof rack kit comprising of a disc in blue, white and green supported on four elephants.
That would rock.
Eolake said..."I really like the iron-work beetle."Very unusual, it is! Call me 'Corny,' but...I think it would be "cute" for...a wedding of a couple that likes beetles. :-)I really like the top convertible! Don't know what it is, neither! Alex? Anyone? LOVE the color! Yum! :-D
A TP fan, Roger? :-)
TC: The car (top one, at any rate:-) ) is a Plymouth Prowler ... started as a concept car, went into production in the US in 1997 (during which time ALL of them were this colour: Prowler Puplre Metallic!) No production in '98 for some reson, then started again in '99 with a choice if 12 colours.
Philocalist: You're AWESOME! Thank you! Just looked it up: http://snipurl.com/1eofua Too durn bad it's [as some other classics!] a thing of the past! Shoot! Wonder if Leno has one of these!
I really liked the Prowler when it was first shown. There's one in our neighbourhood. Dodge were "so cool" back then, the Viper was comparatively new, the PT cruiser just a concept, Sidewinder Pickup concept, and much shorter design cycles in body design.I almost commented on the Prowlers, that is a serious obsession, I've only got the two smallest sizes there.(captch - naticar)
And yes I want the email notificatiosn
Yes, Philocast. From his Dark Side of the Sun and Strata days. What gave me away?
The turtle car, Roger? :-)
Alex said..."...the Viper was comparatively new..."Yes, now, the Viper is, without a doubt, a car that I could "stand" to own! lol! :-P
