Is Denmark paradise?

Anonymous has left a new comment on the post Why are Danes so happy:
How about the riots Eolake? To me that's a sure sign that all isn't well there.

To be sure. We live in a sick world, and Denmark is not paradise. It is merely one of the less sick spots in the world.

Pakistan, now really not the nice place to be for now. India and Bangladesh are countries of riots. Malaysia used to be a country free from riots but some ethnic Indians have caused some disorders.

Those riots seem to me like the symptom of the rise in religious narrow-minded intolerance. It's definitely not a thing specific to muslims. GW Bush claims to be guided in starting his wars by God (or some similar deep voice he heard coming from inside a bottle). The most extremist Jews have leverage enough on the Israeli govt to disrupt any genuine initiative of peace and halting of the colonization process. Radical Indians can't stand the muslims any more and riot/lynch. If I'm not mistaken, the notorious Tamil Tigers are radical Buddhists. Etc, etc...
I wouldn't be surprised to one day see extremist atheists claim responsibility for some suicide bombing attempt against the Pope, "that stinkin' creationnist."

Anyway, hell and paradise are a state of mind. I know self-proclaimed quasi-saints who are positive they're nearly in Clouditopia already, and are a blatant example of terrible unhappiness.
And I know some flamboyant loonies (namely me) who live in such a futureless place as today's Lebanon, and yet insist on worshiping at the altar of carpe diem and keeping a smile whenever things aren't ALL depressing. Such moments with something positive in them are surprisingly abundant.

Now, in France, griping is the national passtime. You're not a true-blooded French citizen if you're not constantly complaining about how crummy life is.
;-P

Haha, there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one.

No-no-no-no, you've got it all mixed up!
The Oxy-moron was the not-too-bright Beef god Apis, worshiped by ancient Egyptians.
Not to be mistaken with the holy cow in India, either...

Ah, it appears from Wikipedia that the Tamils are an ethny which is Hinduist in majority. It's not even a religious thing with dem Tygahs.
This doesn't disprove the existence of radical buddhists, if we refer to the recent past of Japan and China.

Bah, who cares what religion extremists are, anyway? They're all just followers of Moronism.
Which is slightly different from Mormonism, for the record.

George,
If memory serves me well, you also stated: "I've had a drinking problem, but I never was an alcoholic."
I'm so glad for you, for a while the rumors got me worried!
