I'd feared the sitcom was dead, but I've just started watching the fourth season of 2.5 Men, and it is actually shaping up to be the best season yet. Hilarious.
"My name is Kanockers. Vod Kanockers."
I hear it's successful. I hope this will inspire other studios to take up sitcoms again, a good laugh is so damn healthy.

Red Dwarf IX starts April 10th. There's a class sitcom for you.
"You were great in Wall Street".
Wasn't it "loved you in Wall Street"? (Well, they were both good.)
I tried Red Dwarf, didn't care for it. I guess I was trying season one. Did it change?
It's been an indecent age since I saw HS & Part Deux.
Red Dwarf started a little raw, and at times got too polished. It's one of those where every season was different enough you may like one of the 8.
I really enjoy the show. Those two brothers are soo different (aka two ends of a stick). My wife hates it (she claims it's the canned laughter), but every once in a while I'll look over and she's laughing as hard as I am.
It's interesting, the nerdy brother is actually getting some for a change this year.
I don't know; I could do without sitcoms. I don't find them funny. Canned laughter is a big part of it. The other is that most of the scenarios are already played out. It's hard for a new sitcom to do enough to differentiate itself from its predecessors.
Actually, it's more accurate to say that I'm not a fan of recent sitcoms. Generally. If you can classify Scrubs as a sitcom then I still like the genre, I just wish there were more shows like that.
Tommy, it's funny, they still peg Alan as the one who doesn't get any, but he has actually had several of the hottest babes and sex-fests over the years. And Charlie has been astonished every time, until the next time.
I doubt anybody uses canned laughter these days, it's studio audiences. I don't mind them if they're not too loud.
