Surrealism

(I don't know who painted them.)

Superb! Gorgeous! These surrealistic paintings are out of this world! I Love them.

Way to marry dream girls with raw dream. Raw, yet very delicate.

I happily join the choir. Too bad we don't know by whom they are. Or even when they were painted.

You can see Dalí's influence. Unless, of course, these are from before Dalí. :-) But his style is so cool that I certainly don't mind other artists riding the same horse. (There's plenty of mileage left.)

But I'm having a severe déjà vu with Eo's blog now. I have a feeling these paintings have been featured here before. Same with the Frederick Chang photos and the hi-tech bike post. I must be going cracy.

For some reason I have a feeling these paintings are pretty new.

I'm sure I haven't posted any of those things before. Perhaps some in the same style. (I know last year I did post about road bikes.)

the last one makes me think of all the concepts we place on the body, on nudity and on love.

there is the innocence, and then the machinations.

the first print too -- when a hug cannot just be a hug.

(sigh)

Very deep. And astute.
Me, I prefer to look at it all as simply obscure onirism. Even with partly unpleasant underlying messages, dreams have a unique beauty.
In layman's terms: "Weird. But nice." :-)
