One quiet evening he walked around and tried to determine what made all those photos so special that they had made it to the exhibition against a lot of hard competition. He concluded that it was the LIGHT which did it. The *light* was an essential factor, amidst all the great variety of subjects and style.
I guess it's not for nothing that photography means Drawing With Light.

I like both of these photos for their composition as well as the lighting. When (at the posted size) I saw the tree next to the barn I felt that something was missing. I decided that the tree should have had a bird in it. I then opened to the larger size, zoomed in, and discovered that there IS a bird (Hawk) in that tree.
Remarkable.

Thank you very much, Anon... A funny happenstance: I didn't notice the bird until I saw the image on my laptop, either!! I was too busy trying to compose and get off of the farmer's property!! And I couldn't tell what kind of bird it was but a Hawk makes perfect sense because we have a lot of those around here... :-)

The Hawk is on the tip of the tallest branch (where they are often found.
BTW, hoping no one was offended with what I wrote, in response to Russ' post; I, mostly, just think that it's funny to say the first item... It makes me think [of all things] of a PBS Kids' show, 'Dragon Tales,' w/all their talks about various berries in the Forest... Anyone who knows me, knows that I am just a fun-loving Goofball, but...that being said, I also don't mind deleting, if asked... :-) Hoping everyone is having a great day...

Yes, I agree... People tend to be too serious, sometimes, though; I think it's healthy if we can laugh at ourselves, once in awhile, as well as have a friendly chuckle at the opposite sex... :-D
