How to Remove Your Google Search History

[Thanks to Tom]
How to Remove Your Google Search History Before Google's New Privacy Policy Takes Effect, article.
On March 1st, Google will implement its new, unified privacy policy, which will affect data Google has collected on you prior to March 1st as well as data it collects on you in the future. Until now, your Google Web History (your Google searches and sites visited) was cordoned off from Google's other products.

Have you signed to petition?

Google: Ask Fairly About Our Privacy

It asks Google to:

"Delay your implementation date of March 1st, 2012 in order to institute a fair and fully informed opt-in process to get our permission to track, store, combine and protect all data generated by each user of your services, as outlined herein, for the reasons herein."

Thanks a lot for this information !

Tell me,

If I am making some google research while not being signed in, does it still record it and connect it to my account?

And:

If somebody has no google account, does google still gather the information?

Well, maybe time to start some other search engines?

They probably record it with the IP and location.
And I'd guess the others do the same.

You know EO, color me embarassed.

I didn't post this on my own blog.
:-(

Guess, I'll be taking care of that.

By the way, is there ANYONE that likes the new 2 word entry here on Blogspot? Half the time I can't read it and the other half I screw up on typing it. :-(

I think the distortion of these captchas is, and always has been, way overdone. Surely it can be done without making half of them just unreadable.
(I'm only happy that at least they made it so the blog author does not have to use them, a couple years ago that was not so.)

IP changes when I use my computer from different places?

Eolake Stobblehouse said...

Yes. And often even from the same place. Not many have a "static IP".

It's not like anyone's reading it anyway, so no big deal.
