Ever seen Squidbillies?
It's very funny, but it may be the most bizarre show I have seen. I'm just sitting there and I can't believe what I'm watching.
It's also one of those shows which has a strange mix of very broad humor mixed with very subtle humor.
It's also true of the art. It really is exceedingly crude, but then there will be subtleties, for example a character takes off his shirt, and you can subtly see that he has tan-lines.

Crap, due to Copyright laws it's blocking it in the good ole US of A..
Oh, I love that show. Especially since I live in the part of the world it's making fun of. Most bizarre though? It's a pretty eccentric show, but I don't know if I'd say it's the strangest I've ever seen.
Um, that last comment is me by the way. It's not letting show my name for some reason.
Jes
Thanks, Jes.
Surely you live in a town and not quite hillbilly country?
Maybe it's just me. But if you know stranger shows, I'd love to hear about them. :-)
Yup blocked using this link, but if you got to youTube and search on "Squidbillies" you can get to the US sanctioned vids. No, really.
No, not quite hillbilly country, but I see those kind of stereotypes everyday. I swear to God, every character on this show could be based on people I've met. Early included.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job pushes weirdness to the limit, and I think it's pretty funny a lot of the time. 12 oz. Mouse and Perfect Hair Forever are some of the most random shows I've ever seen. Not my favorites, but strange totally describes them. Saul of the Molemen is up there. Granted, Tim and Eric is the only one I know that's released DVDs. :P
Thank you.
The thought of real people like this fascinates me, in Europe we only know them from film and TV, like martians.
Just for one example, the way they manage to combine Christianity which is all about forgiveness, which a violent and unforgiving attitude towards practically everybody else in the universe.
