Sirens, and not the charming ones

I've been hearing sirens all day. And it suddenly struck me: it's this verdamte fuzball  caca! And I think I saw a tweet to the effect that England just performed badly somehow (I think there's a ball and a point system involved). There must be blood in the streets tonight. Well, we used to have highwaymen, I think this is a step up.

England winning in a sport?
Well, maybe Cricket or possibly
Croquet. Anything more physically
taxing is beyond their capability.

Det sker ikke tit.

Well it seems they still believe it can happen. You seen England flags friggin everywhere here. Some drivers can hardly see out of their cars for them.

Quite frankly I'd much prefer highwaymen. At least it was legal to kill them.

I'm with Hentai on this one ... and I'm SO glad to have absolutely zero interest in the footie ... bunch of grossly overpaid prima donnas, if you ask me.
How about they get paid on the basis of results achieved?
Nope, wouldn't work ... vast majority would be living on the breadline!

Another gem from that genius out of Houston.

Cousin of mine is a mediocre footie player. Plays a couple of games a month in some silly league no one's ever heard of, don't win too often. Yet the bastard still makes more than I do. Bah.

Really? Didn't see that one coming.

It's all "tax free", of course. And by that I obviously mean that no one declares the income anywhere.

Well, anony mouse - glad you agree.
But I'm not a genius at all - only aware of history.

Eolake: "You seen England flags friggin everywhere here. Some drivers can hardly see out of their cars for them." - finally the truth comes out. Maybe THAT'S why they drive on the wrong side of road.

Another theory told to me by an Irish business cohort is that all the pubs are on the left hand side of the road...

Ahhh ... don't you just love the Yanks?
Well, you would, apart from two relatively minor problems:-
1/ Evereything they do.
2/ Everything they say.

Well, another anonymous - it's not only what we do and say, but the facts at hand.

Australia proved this point in their fantastic play against Germany.

The boomerang tossing clowns should just go home.

I wonder whether people inside the US are at all aware of the rapidly changing perception (outside the US) of America, its people, and what they collectively stand for?
Look across a broad spectrum of sites / blogs / whatever, and even more and more US nationals are losing faith with the good ole' US of A and becoming increasingly dissatisfied with life there - the obvious exceptions being the faction who can see no further than bombing the shit out of all and sundry who do not see things their way!
I KNOW it's a big country - but take a look beyond your borders sometime - you're NOT the only people on this planet!

Hentai,
What's this I hear?
Since when has it become illegal to kill an Englishman?
This world is going to the dogs...

"Maybe THAT'S why they drive on the wrong side of road."
"This comment has been FLAGGED." ;-)

"Another gem from that genius out of Houston."
Again with the flattery? Have you no shame, woman?
(tsk!) Spinsters...

"The boomerang tossing clowns should just go home."
The only problem with their footie playing, is that they use their boomerang technique for it. Therefore, every ball they shoot ends up in their own goal cage. ;-)
I once threw a boomerang, that stayed up SIX MONTHS before returning to the ground. An air draft had tossed it atop a palm tree... (Really!)

""heads, I win, tails, you lose"
Hey, sounds like a cool game. Can I play with you? :o)

Sirens, sirens... You gripe like one who has never enjoyed the melodious concerto of ten thousand vuvuzelas simultaneously blaring in your ears at point blank.

127 dB times 10,000 horns = 167 decibels, potentially. Charming, innit? :-P

As a kid I once threw a paper plane which must have gotten into an updraft, for it just went up and up and out of sight. (OK, it sort of disappeared behind a tree, but a *huge* tree. It must have been 50 meters up at least when I lost sight of it.
