Culture commentary
Why are seemingly most people who make commentary on movies and TV so snide and unpleasant?

Who knows? It's the basis for the parody of such people in the famous Comic Book Guy. Of course professional critics can be that bad. See any of Armond White's reviews.
For some of us, the only way to get any attention from other human beings is to make them angry.
Also, when you're an inferior human being, like me, this is a way to feel superior to someone. Not necessarily an effective way, but I'll take what I can get.

I much prefer this kind of social commentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxKtZmQgxrI
It´s part of the job requirements.
Just like for trolling. Except trolling doesn´t earn you much of a living...

Spoken like a true Lebanese there! ;-)
